This is the greatest city in the world and i made so many heartfelt relationships. At times i felt like i was rolling with the best of the best. it takes a little bit of humility to come back to seattle, but i'm all for spending time with my family and friends in the northwest. we wouldn't be surprised if God brought us back here someday, so much of what we love thrives in downtown new york. Finally, we have the chance to take everything we've learned, and build something with our own hands. I'm excited to get back to the real mountains. it's been a minute, but i've been checking the web cams, and getting the snow bug again.

Wednesday, December 26, 2007

    Happy Birthday Rose!!!!

dood...u still have the same metabolism ya did when u were 5! love you rose cho!!!

Thursday, September 06, 2007
my californian doods, i will be in san diego, hell A, and san fran for the next 10 days. by day, i will put on a fake smile and sell, sell, sell!! by night, i hope to grab a beer with some of you doods. i have to share a rental car with the alife rep, so i'll hollerate when i get a minute to myself.

see you soon Michy & Pete, Amy & TK, Tony & Janet, Rosie 88, and le Prive!

Friday, August 03, 2007

ain't it funny that when you meet people....they can seem like the coolest person ever...with such a great character...and you assume that you want to be friends with that chap. And then as time goes by, you begin to see another side to them...and unfortunatly....a side that is pretty foul. Now that i am a grown-az woman, i have learned to stop being naive....and trust no one. Honestly, the people that i trust now, and know to be loyal, are the ones that have stuck by me in my former days. I would rather have one good trustworthy and loyal friend, as opposed to 70 celebrity "party" friends.

Wednesday, July 18, 2007
The past two weeks was one of the most hectic moments of my life, nevertheless, it was a memorable experience cuz i got to watch both my brother and Rose get married. I shed a few tears at Rose's wedding, shed a few at my brother's, shed some more when i crashed my mom's new car, got teary eyed when my boss called me into the office (cuz i felt stressed), and slept very little in between. On top of that i had to fly back to nyc between the back to back weddings for work. I have so much work to do and a tradeshow next week. But, still....i waste my time on xanga...

Congrats to both couples, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Lee. WOAH. That's freakin' weird! These people are hitched now! They can never go to Venom again! Haha, just kidding. Nevertheless, i don't give a flip what other ppl think of my food which my motherland ancestors created in their ancient days. hands down, in my opinion, KOREAN FOOD IS THE BEST FOOD, AND THE MOST SATISFYING. i love it more than sushi, more than spaghetti, fried chicken, whatever. so gooooooood. the kalbi, the duk that you wrap your kalbi in, the sahm, the bean paste you dip your sahm in, the motherf*in kimchi, the moo, the japjae, oh my word.....so awesome.

and then today.....i got this email from my boss who just so happens to be in korea....btw....i've never seen him eat korean food before:

Julie,

I really like Korea. We have eaten Korean barbecue every night. I love kimchi. They are amazed at how much kimchi I eat. We have drank a lot of Soju. We went to the shoe factories. I filmed it so I could show it to all of you. The new Creative Recs are amazing. We have a lot of new ladies shoes as well. I will let you know about the tradeshow.

Thanks

Dre

**************************************************************************************

And OUT OF ka-WinKydiNkY...i just so happened to bring un-cooked kalbi to work today and cooked that biznatch in the tinyass toaster oven. yes, the kind that is used to toast bagels. but has a small 5 inch door that opens. and you know when i pulled those two slabs out, with it's burnt sides....it stunk this office like korean garlic mania. Howevers, my punkass was too selfish to share my goodies with others. and i even put a scoop of bap on the side. just like how mom used to do it.

on a opposite note.....rose sent me a dress that is like a size 2. not only can i not zip the back up, my boobs dont fill the cups...and i thought my chachas were decent size. also, the dress is supposed to fall a little past the knees, but it comes down to my ankles. i have a deformed body, cannot fit into a normal sized dress, and an obsession with beef.

im just going to listen to some bob marley and feel better about myself.

btw......im coming home on friday. the one and only has decided to go where none of my friends have gone before:

my my they do grow up so fast.

Wednesday, May 30, 2007
Hello everyone. i found out this past weekend that i have a korean name. My whole life, my mom has always told me that my middle name was just the letter S. So I told everyone that my full name was Julie S. Lee. And then there were the bahboh shekees that always told me that S. cannot be a valid middle name. At one point, Janet told everyone that my name was Julie Shin Lee. She just assumed my mom's maiden name was Shin. SO this past weekend, on the way home from the beach, I settled the score. I called my mom and asked her my middle name...and she said it was Julie S. Lee. I asked her what S. stood for and she responded with my new found korean name. Sook Young. i like it. i want to be called sook young for the rest of my life.

i had so much fun this weekend. i hung out with janet, gina and donnie everyday! (excpet for monday).

Friday: went to philly and pulled over every jersey pit stop to go weewee. sool mahnee mah shuh suh. chem ee suh suh. oh yeah.
Saturday: went to jersey beach ...played scrabble for the first time....and then got nang myun in palisades park.
Sunday: went to church, then went to the Met Museum to see the Poiret fashion exhibition, then had a bbq/pool party at my apt and had SCRABBLE vendetta PT II
Monday: Went to the fishing store with sang and bought fishing poles and bait....and drove to the jersey shore and went fishing all day!
